Next week, we will celebrate Allie's sixth month! Since our last posting in APRIL (eek!), mom has gone back to work full time & dad is working too - both grandmothers, Aunt Amy and cousin Samantha are helping us tremendously by spending time with Allie during the week - we really are lucky.
The past few months have brought tremendous joy - Allie is growing up beautifully. At over 20 lbs. now, she has started eating cereal & vegetables, is sitting up almost completely on her own, has the most wonderful smile and has TWO TEETH! We went on a trip to Los Angeles (her very first plane ride) and she did great - she is definitely a travel bug like mom & dad :)
We've celebrated Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day and the Fourth of July. Allie met Kellen Trummer from China, and has two new friends - Carter McVaugh, born 7/7 and Chase Menghini, born 7/16. Aunt Morgan has visited and we've visited her in California. The Spiess family visited from Omaha and relatives from Germany came to see us. We've been swimming and have had a few sleepovers with Oma & Grandaddy (freedom, freedom!! - I mean, boy did we miss her...). All in all, it has been a busy, fun, happy, and exhausting few months.....
